As per the bulletin (Section 1.1)

Online application starts: 23rd February 2026
Last date (Minority Network category): 30th March 2026
Last date (Open Category): Two weeks after NEET UG 2026 results
Last date for supporting documents: 4th April 2026
Last date for Minority Network certification forms: 4th May 2026

⚠️ Important: All candidates must also apply separately to the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee for counselling.

🏥 Total MBBS Seats in CMC Vellore 2026

As mentioned in the seat matrix (Section 1.2)

Total seats are divided as follows:

🔹 Management Quota – 50%

Open Category – 2 seats
Minority Network – 38 seats
CMC Vellore Staff Quota – 10 seats

🔹 Government Quota – 50%

30% State Government Quota – 30 seats
20% State Christian Minority Quota – 20 seats

🎯 Eligibility Criteria for MBBS 2026

As per Section 1.3

Candidates must:

Be 17 years old by 31 Dec 2026
Score minimum 50th percentile in NEET UG 2026
Score minimum 50% aggregate in PCB (40% for BC/MBC/SC/ST as per TN norms)
Have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English individually

Students who studied outside Tamil Nadu must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University.

⚠️ CMC Vellore Does NOT Have NRI Quota

One of the biggest misconceptions is that CMC Vellore offers NRI quota seats.

🛐 What is Minority Network Category in CMC?

This is the most important part of CMC admission.

As per Section 4 of the bulletin

Only eligible Christian Churches/Organizations listed in Annexure I can recommend candidates.
Candidate must have at least 10 years meaningful relationship with the Church.
Only Indian nationals are eligible.
Recommendation involves a 2-year mandatory service obligation in mission hospitals after completion of MBBS.

Important conditions:

Maximum ₹750 can be charged by the recommending organization.
Service obligation must be completed through service, not money.
Failure to serve can result in withholding certificates.

This is not a donation-based seat. It is merit + mission-based admission.

🧾 Application Process – Step-by-Step

As per Section 2

Step 1 – Online Application

Apply only at:
http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in

Application Fee:

₹1200 administrative fee
₹500 registration fee
Additional ₹500 per extra course (if applying to Nursing/AHS)

Maximum 7 courses can be selected.

⚠️ No duplicate applications allowed.

Step 2 – Upload Documents

Passport size photo (150x150 pixels, <80KB)
Signature (150x50 pixels, <50KB)
Community certificate (if applicable)
Minority Network documents (if applicable)

Step 3 – NEET Score Submission

After NEET 2026 results:

Login to CMC portal
Enter NEET Roll No, Score & AIR
Apply separately to Tamil Nadu Selection Committee

Only candidates in Tamil Nadu Management Quota rank list are eligible for 50% management seats.

🎓 Selection Process – Very Important

Even management seats are filled via Tamil Nadu Selection Committee counselling

This means:

CMC does NOT directly conduct private counselling.
You must apply to TN Medical Selection Committee.
Only ranked candidates are eligible.

💰 CMC Vellore MBBS 2026 Fees

As per official bulletin (Section 6)

1st Year MBBS Fees:

Tuition Fee – ₹3,000
One-time College Fee – ₹12,260
Other Annual Fee – ₹54,095
One-time University Fee – ₹14,975

Total: ₹84,330 (Approx.)

Hostel deposit: ₹10,000
Monthly living expenses: Approx ₹8,000

Compared to other private colleges charging ₹15–25 lakhs per year, CMC’s fees are extremely low.

📜 Service Obligation (For All MBBS Students)

As per Section 5

All MBBS students (Management & Government quota) must complete:

👉 2 years of mandatory service in area of need

Posting may be in mission hospitals or areas identified by CMC.
If student fails to serve:
- Certificates may not be issued
- Default may be mentioned in official documents

This is a major decision factor for students.
