What Is the NEET UG 2026 Correction Window?
The National Testing Agency officially released a public notice on 11 March 2026 confirming that candidates can modify errors or update details in their NEET UG 2026 online application form. The fields eligible for correction are listed in Annexure-I of the official notice on the NTA website.
NEET UG 2026 itself is scheduled for 3 May 2026 (Sunday), from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST, in pen-and-paper (offline) mode at exam centres across India and abroad.
Key Dates at a Glance
- Correction Window Opens: 12 March 2026, 12:00 PM
- Correction Window Closes: 14 March 2026, 11:50 PM
- NEET UG 2026 Exam Date: 3 May 2026
Important Things to Keep in Mind
A few details from the official notice that candidates often overlook:
This is a one-time facility. NTA has made it clear there will be no further correction opportunity after this window closes — not under any circumstances. If you miss it, you're locked into whatever your form currently says.
Fee changes may apply. If your correction affects the application fee amount — for example, changing your category — you will be charged the additional fee. Any extra amount paid is non-refundable, so double-check before you confirm any changes.
Corrections only apply after fee payment. If your change requires an additional fee, the correction will only be considered final once that payment is completed.

Don't Wait on This
The three-day correction window is genuinely short, and the 14 March deadline is hard. NEET UG 2026 aspirants should treat this with the same urgency as the original registration — a wrong name spelling, incorrect date of birth, or wrong exam city preference can cause serious problems on exam day. Take 10 minutes today and verify your form.
