🏥 Government Medical Colleges in Rajasthan (MBBS 2026)

Rajasthan currently has 32 government medical colleges. Among these, 7–8 colleges are considered old and premium institutions, known for strong academics, hospitals, and alumni networks.

🔹 Newer Government Medical Colleges (2018–2025)

From 2020 onwards, Rajasthan added a large number of new government medical colleges:

  • Colleges established in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025

  • These are considered relatively new

  • Most have 100–150 MBBS seats

➡️ Total MBBS seats in government medical colleges: approx. 4,500

  • 15% seats go to All India Quota

  • 85% seats are reserved for Rajasthan state quota students


💰 Government College Fee Structure (Rajasthan)

  • Government quota fee:
    Very low (nominal), usually a few thousand rupees per year

  • Management quota in some government colleges
    (Mostly colleges established after 2008, such as Jhalawar & newer ones):
    👉 Approx. ₹9–10 lakh per annum


🏥 Private Medical Colleges in Rajasthan (MBBS 2026)

Rajasthan private medical colleges are extremely popular because:

  • Rajasthan is an open state

  • Students from other states are allowed

  • Very low cut-offs appear in later rounds

  • In Round 1 & Round 2, preference is given to Rajasthan domicile students

  • From Round 3 onwardsother-state students are allowed
